Deforestation and escrow

I'm convinced that mortgage and escrow companies are now the single biggest contributors to worldwide deforestation. I cannot believe the amount of paperwork involved with closing on real estate. Seriously, isn't this the electronic age? What up with the 100 lb 2" stack of paperwork I got in the mail last night? Man I hope I never drop that shit...I have no idea how long it would take to reorganize it all.
